AGE AND GETTING PREGNANT

FEMALE FERTILITY, the time, when a woman can conceive a baby, is limited by her age. Due to biological factors, the optimal age for childbearing in women is until 25 years old.

Fecundity decreases gradually after 25 and to get pregnant will take longer time.

Getting pregnant after 40

Fertility has two major turning points, the first after thirty and the second after 35, when it decreases significantly.

The chance of conception at the age of 40 is only approximately 4%. E.g. let’s suppose a 25-year-old woman conceives after 3 months of trying, then in her 40s, conception would happen after 15 months of trying.

Some women have no problem getting pregnant even at an older age, it is very individual.

On the other hand, we are also contacted by 38-39-years-old women who have already been diagnosed with menopause. Unfortunately, in such cases, when the ability to conceive ended, we cannot help them.

Age is one of the important factors and cannot be influenced.

From our clients:

After three years of unsuccessful trying to become pregnant, I applied for my fertile day calendar and I got pregnant 2 months later. I am 42 years old and expecting my first child.

When my fourth pregnancy ended in miscarriage, I asked you for a calculation. The only date for a viable child was in six months later. I got pregnant and at the age of 44 I will become a mother again.

Despite my age, I wanted to try to conceive a baby. Thanks to your calculation of fertile days, I got pregnant after 1.5 years and became a mother at 47 years old.

A year ago, at the age of 47, I applied for fertile day calendar. I want to let you know that you were right. The doctor confirmed that my ovaries are no longer active and I will not conceive again.

The Reproductive System ensures the conception.

In the female, it consists of internal and external organs

The ovaries are a paired organ. It is a female gonad that produces female sex cells - eggs and also produces female sex hormones.

Fallopian tubes are paired tubes. They transport the egg from the ovary to the uterus after ovulation. The fallopian tube is also the place where the egg is fertilized.

The uterus is an organ with a strong muscular wall, where the nesting and the development of the embryo, fetus until birth takes place.

The vagina is the birth canal and copulatory organ.

Menstruation in girls usually starts between 11 and 13 years of age (shifting in the onset towards an earlier age - influenced in particular by external factors). Usually the first periods are irregular and the cycles are anovulatory. Thus, the eggs have not yet matured and are not capable of fertilisation.

The disappearance of menstruation, or menopause, occurs at an average age of 51 years. It is the time when a woman stops menstruating and the ability to get pregnant has ended. Between the ages of 45 and 50 years, a woman reaches the so-called perimenopause, when menstrual cycles are still regular, but the woman may no longer be able to conceive.

We talk about premature menopause if it starts before the age of 40.

Nowadays, there is an increase in women in their thirties who are already in menopause, which can also be caused by an unhealthy lifestyle.

Of course, in the event that one ovary becomes dysfunctional (e.g.: it may be removed due to illness, etc.), the fertile period of a woman may be shortened, as the second, functional ovary may not be able to ensure fertility for a period of the same length as in case of two ovaries.

In order for a woman to become pregnant, she must have at least one functioning ovary along with the fallopian tube and the uterus.
